In a proactive effort to address the issue of poor waste management and maintain a hygienic environment within the state, the Lagos State Government has taken decisive action by sealing the Ajah Market.

This action was carried out on Sunday, and was announced by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Jubril Gawat, in a tweet via his X platform.

The operation was executed by a combined team of government agencies, including the Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA), Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), and the Environmental Task Force.

The operation not only involved the sealing of the Ajah Market but also the demolition of illegal structures in the vicinity, he added.
