Noise Pollution: Lagos State Government Seals Off Mosque, Hotels, Company

Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken stringent measures against noise pollution and other environmental infringements.

Several establishments, including a mosque, a company, and various hotels, have been sealed off as part of these initiatives.

The closures occurred in the Oshodi/Isolo area of Lagos State, following multiple notices issued regarding the state’s noise pollution laws.

Over the years, the Lagos State Government has conducted numerous meetings with religious leaders, club owners, and other establishments to enlighten them about these laws and how to adhere to them.

Churches have been instructed to eliminate external speakers, and larger churches with potent internal speakers have been advised to soundproof their halls.
