Lagos Tops List as World’s Most Congested City, Global Traffic Index 2023 Reveals

In a recent report by the Global Traffic Congestion Rankings 2023, Lagos, the bustling metropolis in Nigeria, has clinched the unenviable title of the city with the worst road traffic globally.

The Traffic Index, which assessed congestion levels in cities worldwide, highlighted the severe challenges faced by commuters in Lagos.

Following closely behind is the Latvian city of Riga, securing the second position, while Tehran, the capital and largest city of Iran, claimed the third spot.

Mexico City in Mexico emerged as the fourth most congested city, with Mumbai in India and Krakow in Poland rounding up the top five.
