LaLiga: Vinicius Junior Hit with Two-Match Ban After Red Card

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has been handed a two-match suspension following his red card during the LaLiga champions’ 2-1 victory over Valencia at the Mestalla.

Vinicius was dismissed for striking Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski in the heated encounter, which saw Real Madrid stage a late comeback.

Hugo Duro put the hosts ahead in the first half, but Luka Modric equalized in the 85th minute before Jude Bellingham secured a dramatic injury-time winner.

The victory moved Real Madrid two points clear of Atlético Madrid at the top of the LaLiga standings, though they have played one more game than their city rivals.

While Vinicius will be eligible for the Spanish Super Cup this week, he will miss the league fixtures against Las Palmas and Real Valladolid.
