Landmark Resort Beach has begun refunding customers affected by the recent demolition of parts of its properties by the Federal Government, according to a statement released on Friday.
The parent company, Landmark Africa, announced via its official account that refunds are being processed through the Landmark Citizen App. Despite the high volume of refund requests, management assured customers that all requests would be addressed.
“We have started issuing refunds to those who requested a refund of their money on the Landmark Citizen App. Please be patient with us; due to the volume of requests, this process will take some time,” the statement assured.
The demolition, which occurred on Monday, targeted a section of Landmark Beach on Victoria Island, Lagos, to make way for the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, defended the demolition, stating that Landmark Resort Beach had encroached upon the Federal Government’s right-of-way.
“The Landmark centre encroached upon the Federal Government’s right-of-way,” Umahi stated.
In addition to Landmark Beach, other establishments including the Breeze Beach Club and Mami Chula were also demolished.
The demolition has sparked controversy and raised concerns among residents and business owners in the area. With the refund process underway, Landmark Resort Beach aims to address the grievances of its customers affected by the government’s action.
