Popular Cameroonian-American singer Libianca has broken her silence over the worsening political crisis in Cameroon, accusing President Paul Biya’s government of tyranny and violence against citizens protesting the country’s disputed elections.
In an emotional video posted on her Instagram page, the People crooner expressed frustration over the government’s alleged suppression of dissent and repeated internet blackouts aimed at concealing atrocities committed against civilians.

“We’ve been under a tyrannical government. They have been killing us and silencing us by shutting down the internet so that we cannot share the news with you guys and spread awareness,” she said.
Libianca alleged that the internet was shut down again recently to prevent citizens from speaking out, describing the situation as “heartbreaking and unbearable.”
The singer called on the international community and global media to draw attention to the ongoing violence and repression in Cameroon.
“They are killing us, but it’s not going to stop us from fighting back. That’s how strong we are,” she said, urging solidarity under the hashtag #FreeCameroon.
Libianca’s passionate appeal comes as tensions escalate across Cameroon, where large-scale protests against the October 12 presidential elections have erupted in cities including Douala and Yaoundé.
Security forces have reportedly used live ammunition and tear gas to disperse demonstrators, with reports of at least four people killed in Douala alone.
