“Before I Leave Office, I’ll Ensure Uninterrupted Power Supply in Ogun State,”-Governor Abiodun

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State is optimistic about resolving the power challenges in the south-west region and aims to achieve this goal within the next four years before completing his second term in office.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, the re-elected Ogun governor outlined his commitment to the “Light Up Ogun State” initiative, emphasizing his determination to ensure a consistent and reliable power supply for the state.

“The fact is that in the next four years, my target is to ensure we implement our Light Up Ogun State project so that before I leave office, light will not blink in Ogun State,” he said.

He expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the project, asserting that, by the end of his tenure, the issue of power interruptions would be effectively addressed.

Governor Abiodun also highlighted his administration’s achievements in the last four years, specifically addressing challenges in the education sector. He revealed that over 1,000 schools have been either reconstructed or renovated, showcasing the government’s dedication to improving educational infrastructure.

In addition to educational reforms, the governor stated that his administration has undertaken various infrastructure projects, including the construction of roads and hospitals.

He emphasized the creation of job opportunities as a significant accomplishment, contributing to the well-being of the state’s populace.

Governor Abiodun proudly shared that his government has substantially increased the internally generated revenue of Ogun State.

Citing a recent release by Budget, he positioned Ogun State as the top performer in terms of improved internally generated revenue, surpassing other states by a considerable margin.

The governor further asserted that the state’s resilience is evident, ranking among the few that can sustain themselves even in the absence of federal government allocations.

With a focus on sustainable development and self-sufficiency, Governor Dapo Abiodun is committed to steering Ogun State towards progress and prosperity during his second term in office.
