Liverpool have struck a £125 million agreement with Newcastle United for the transfer of Alexander Isak, with the Swedish striker set to finalize his move on deadline day.
Negotiations intensified late Sunday, culminating in a deal between the two clubs. Isak is now expected to arrive on Merseyside to complete the formalities.

Insiders at Newcastle suggest the total package will amount to £130 million, with the club’s Saudi ownership giving the green light to proceed.
The Magpies had been open to parting ways with Isak throughout the summer, following the player’s clear desire to leave at the end of last season.

Despite a previous club statement indicating that their sale conditions—namely a suitable offer from Liverpool and a replacement secured, had not yet been met, the situation shifted rapidly.
Newcastle made a final attempt to retain Isak, sending senior representatives to his home last Monday. However, after that meeting, it became evident that convincing him to stay was no longer feasible.
