Liverpool Submits Formal Request To PGMOL For Official Audio Conversation

Liverpool have formally requested from the PGMOL for the audio conversations between the officials from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur in a bid to see through the alleged controversies that occurred in the game.

Liverpool criticizes the match officials for calling an offside on Luiz Diaz’s goal which was alleged to be a clear On-side goal but ruled offside by the ref Hooper. The referee Simon Hooper alongside Var decision against the Goal has caused multiple reactions from the Liverpool Coaching side, especially J. Klopp as they believe it was a clear on-side goal which should have been counted.

During his pressing, he said, “We had that situation against Manchester United, did we get a point for it? No. We did not so it doesn’t help. I think nobody expects 100% decision in the field but I think we all thought when VAR comes in, it’s to make things easier.”

Liverpool’s head coach explains the timing of the decision as “as fast”. He also explains that a better and closer look would have been better rather than rushing into a decision.

Liverpool plans to retrieve the audio conversations between the officials on the Field to look into the issue. The PGMOL is expected to respond in a few days.

Liverpool are also expected to appeal against the red card given to Curtis Jones during the game against Spurs. Curtis Jones was sent off by Hooper in the 26th minute against a harsh tackle on Tottenham’s Bissouma.

Liverpool will face Brighton and Hove Albion in the next EPL game as visitors on 8th October.
