Tomorrow, Wike Will Gather Journalists in Abuja to Talk About His Political Battles While Lives are Being Wasted Needlessly — Morris Monye

The director of mobilisation of the Obidient movement, Morris Monye, has decried the daily loss of lives in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In a post on X account, Monye criticised the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, for prioritising needless media interviews above his core responsibilities of ensuring the well-being of Abuja residents.

He, like other Nigerians, observed that the security situation in Abuja continues to deteriorate with little action taken by Wike to address the problem.

Another X user, @Emmanue94098366, wrote that “The Nigerian mainstream media is complicit in the misrule by the political class against the Nigerian pple. They sell their platforms to politicians to ditch out falsehood against the pple, forgetting that the money they’re collecting from politicians can’t replace good govenance”.

The post is coming in the wake of the killing of Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, a 29-year-old journalist with Arise News, during an armed robbery at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja.
