Popular Nigerian actor and activist Debo Adedayo, known as Mr. Macaroni, has responded to a fresh wave of online harassment, this time from supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the coordinated insults as nothing more than a “game” he’s willing to return when the time is right.
“It’s always fun when APC Mob are throwing curses and insults at me like they have been doing for some days now. That’s not bullying. They are actually just playing with me. I hope there won’t be any problem when I feel like playing too. For now, you all should enjoy,” Macaroni posted on his verified X account on Saturday.

The post, delivered with a touch of sarcasm and restraint, comes after days of relentless name-calling and attacks from known APC-aligned accounts. This isn’t the first time the actor has faced such abuse. As one of the prominent voices during the EndSARS protests and an outspoken critic of bad governance, Macaroni has frequently been the target of smear campaigns, particularly from the ruling party’s online foot soldiers.
Nigerians rallied behind him quickly, flooding the comment section with words of support and warnings to the APC mob to brace for pushback. @kcemenikex responded, “Na mumu go allow them gaslight am. No gree for them”. @zealprecious1 added, “Aura for Aura”, a phrase that has become popular slang for matching energy, especially when dealing with online hostility.
Others didn’t hold back. @Bartibest1 wrote, “That’s what they are good at. Nothing to offer. Nothing to show. We are coming for them comes 2027.” @Osikhena2014 also weighed in, stating, “That’s how they do and once you face them squarely, they resort to ‘mob’ then ‘toxic’ as they cry bitterly. Macaroni, I trust you. Give them back a million times more than they did you.”
Supporters described Macaroni as a symbol of resistance against political intimidation and digital bullying, especially in a political climate where opposing Tinubu’s regime often attracts coordinated trolling. @itz_phimpkhid tweeted, “That’s why you keep elevating in all you do my bro.” @icecyclone, perhaps warning against hypocrisy, reminded everyone: “Those that live in a glass house don’t throw stones.”
Some commenters used humor, while others referenced the broader political climate and the growing frustration among citizens toward Tinubu’s government. @phranklinn joked: “Nigeria is now a country of mobsters. Make the greatest MOB group win jare”
The solidarity shown toward Mr. Macaroni reflects a growing fatigue with the weaponization of online spaces by political loyalists and a readiness among Nigerians to challenge intimidation tactics ahead of the 2027 elections.
