Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has been named the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for the 2023/2024 campaign.
The announcement was made on Monday by UEFA’s Technical Observer Panel.
This recognition follows Real Madrid’s impressive performance in the recently concluded season, where they secured a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium in London.
The goals came from the Brazilian international and defender Dani Carvajal on Saturday.
Júnior delivered a series of sensational performances throughout the victorious campaign, contributing six goals in total, including the decisive goal in the final against Dortmund.

“I’m very happy to be able to win another Champions League with this club, which has given me so much,” said the Brazilian international after the Wembley showpiece.
