Renowned broadcaster and journalist Oseni Rufai has questioned the punishment that will be given to the magistrate who detained Dele Farotimi for a crime not recognized under Ekiti State laws.
Recall that Dele Farotimi was arrested and unlawfully detained for defaming Afe Babalola. However, it was discovered that defamation and libel law was found missing in the Ekiti State laws.
Rufai took to his official X handle to question the aftermath of the action carried out by the so called Ekiti magistrate.
His post reads, “So what happens to the magistrate that detained Farotimi for a crime that doesn’t exist in Ekiti state????

Meanwhile, netizens have relayed a piece of their mind following Rufai’s tweet.
