Following the death of the former Malawi Vice President (VP), Saulos Chilima, the President, Lazarus Chakwerais on Thursday appointed Michael Usi as Vice President.
Recall that June 10, Chilima and nine others were involved in a plane crash and died.

Usi will take an oath of office Friday to fill the void left by the untimely death of former Vice President Saulos Chilima.
