Manchester City midfielder Rodri has resumed individual training, raising hopes of a return before the season ends following his ACL injury in September.
Initially expected to miss the rest of the campaign after sustaining the injury on September 22, the Spaniard was recently seen undergoing drills at City’s training ground in a video shared by the club on social media, captioned “on the road to recovery.”

Rodri’s absence has been keenly felt by Pep Guardiola’s side. The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner’s unavailability has coincided with City falling 20 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and being eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid earlier this month.

The midfielder previously expressed hopes of returning in time for the Club World Cup, which starts on June 18. However, Guardiola has urged caution regarding the 28-year-old’s recovery.
