As Hardship Continues to Flog Nigerians, Man Dies While Undergoing 19-Day Dry Fast in Lagos

A 58-year-old man has died while engaging in a 19-day dry fast in the Alagbado area of Lagos State.

The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who reported that the tragic event occurred at approximately 6:00 am on Monday.

The deceased’s younger brother, whose name was not disclosed, reported the incident to the Alagbado Police Division at around 7:00 pm the same day.

According to the police, no foul play is suspected, and the family has requested to take custody of the body for burial.

“No foul play suspected, family demands to convey the corpse for burial,” Hundeyin added.
