In a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s hopes of clinching the Premier League title this season were dashed following a 2-2 draw with rivals Liverpool.
The Red Devils, led by interim manager Ralf Rangnick, showcased resilience by fighting back from a goal down to take the lead against Jurgen Klopp’s formidable side.
However, their efforts were hindered when Aaron Wan-Bissaka was penalized for a foul on Harvey Elliott inside the box, resulting in Mohamed Salah converting the subsequent penalty for Liverpool.
The draw leaves Manchester United with no mathematical chance of securing the league title this season, as they currently sit on 49 points with seven fixtures remaining.
Their last triumph in the Premier League dates back to the 2011/2012 campaign under the legendary management of Sir Alex Ferguson.
