Many people have reportedly lost their lives following a stampede during the distribution of yuletide rice in the Okija community, Anambra State.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning as posted on X.

Among those dead are women and children. According to reports, the bags of rice were donated by a notable member of the community, Chief Dr. Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi.
