Hamas Movement, France, Italy, Others Condemn Mass Attack by Terrorists in Moscow

Moscow Concert Hall Attack

Following the terrorist attack at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall concert venue, which claimed the lives of numerous civilians, condemnation has poured in from the Hamas government, the United Nations, and various countries.

According to Al Mayadeen, the Hamas movement issued a strong condemnation of the attack, expressing deep condolences to the leadership and people of Russia. The movement also pledged full solidarity with Russia, its citizens, and the families of the victims.

The UN Security Council, in a statement released on Friday, unequivocally denounced the “heinous terrorist attack” at the concert hall in the Moscow Region. The Council members expressed solidarity with Russia and condemned the attack targeting civilians.

“The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the heinous and cowardly terrorist attack at a concert hall in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, the Russian Federation, on 22 March 2024. 

“This reprehensible act of terrorism resulted in the grievous loss of dozens of lives and has left more than 100 injured, some in critical condition,” the statement read.

French President Emmanuel Macron, as stated by the Elysee Palace, vehemently condemned the ISIS-claimed terrorist attack. He expressed France’s solidarity with the victims, their families, and the entire Russian populace.

Additionally, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban extended condolences to the Russian people in a post on X, following the tragic terrorist attack.

“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the people of the Russian Federation following the heinous terrorist attack that took place near Moscow this evening. We pray for the families of the victims!” Orban wrote on X.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on X announced that Doha condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that hit Moscow on Friday.

The Ministry said in a statement on its page on X: “The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting incident that took place in the Russian capital, Moscow, and led to dozens of deaths and injuries.” 

On Saturday, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni emphasized the Italian government’s full condemnation of the “inhuman terrorist attack” at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow.

The Italian government quoted Meloni as saying, “The horror of the massacre of innocent civilians in Moscow is unacceptable. Firm and total condemnation of the Italian Government for this heinous act of terrorism. I express my full solidarity with those affected and the families of the victims.”

Tunisia strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Saturday, saying, “The Republic of Tunisia strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist act that occurred in the Russian capital, Moscow, resulting in the loss of numerous innocent lives.”

Furthermore, the Tunisian Republic expressed its full solidarity with the Russian Federation, reaffirming its rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism.

The Ministry added that Tunisia extends its sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to the leadership, the Russian people, and the families of the victims, and wishes a speedy recovery to all the wounded.

Morocco released a statement denouncing the terrorist attack and expressing solidarity with Russian authorities in their anti-terrorism efforts.

The Kingdom of Morocco also conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured in the tragic incident.
