Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, interior minister, has invited Fisayo Soyombo, founder of the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), for a “roundtable conversation” on “reforms in the Nigerian correctional service”.
On October 5, Soyombo appeared on ‘Perspectives’, an Arise TV programme, where he commented on the rot in the nation’s prisons.
In a post on his X page on Saturday, Tunji-Ojo said “following his recent revelations on national TV, I find it necessary to invite renowned investigative journalist, Mr Fisayo Soyombo of FIJ, to a roundtable conversation”.
“I believe his expertise will be invaluable in shaping the ongoing reforms in Nigerian correctional service,” the minister added.
