Nigerian musician Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr. Eazi, has released his highly anticipated album, The Evil Genius. The album showcases some of the artist’s most personal works as he explores themes such as love, betrayal, loneliness, and family.
The album also collaborates with prominent African artists from different countries and genres. Beninese legend Angelique Kidjo, Nigerian stars Tekno, Whoisakin, and Joeboy, Ghanaian singers Efya and KillBeatz, and South African award-winning group Soweto Gospel Choir Mr. Eazi also teamed up with renowned Nigerian stylist, designer, and photographer Daniel Obasi, who has worked with Louis Vuitton, for the album cover.
The Evil Genius was recorded in various cities across Africa and beyond, such as Ouidah and Cotonou in the Benin Republic, Kigali in Rwanda, Accra and Kokrobite in Ghana, Lagos, London, and Los Angeles and New York City in the USA. The album boasts a diverse range of producers from Nigeria, the UK, Haiti, Ghana, and Canada, such as Kel-P, Knucks, Michael Brun, Andre Vibez, Yung Willis, Nonso Amadi, M.O.G. Beatz, E. Kelly, Type A, Stikmatik, Phantom, Beat Butcha, Venna, K Dream, and Mr. Eazi himself.
