Multichoice Drops TB Joshua’s Emmanuel TV from DStv Amidst Controversial BBC Documentary

Multichoice DStv has announced its decision to cease the broadcast of Emmanuel TV, the religious network founded by the late T.B. Joshua, effective from January 17, 2024.

This move comes in the wake of a controversial three-part documentary produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which alleged instances of molestation and torture by the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

The viral documentary features individuals claiming to be former members of SCOAN who confessed to experiencing abuse at the hands of the late prophet.

However, Multichoice released a statement on screen, informing viewers of Emmanuel TV’s discontinuation and expressing gratitude for their viewership.

The message read, “Dear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on the 17th of January 2024. Thank you for watching.”

The decision to part ways with Multichoice extends beyond DStv, as Emmanuel TV will also cease service on StarSat and various other pay-TV platforms.

The BBC probe involved interviews with at least 30 alleged former members and workers of SCOAN, shedding light on allegations of atrocities and sexual crimes committed against TB Joshua and his disciples.
