Eid-el Kabir: Muslims Need to Pray Fervently for Nigeria’s Hardship to be Overcome — CAN Appeals

Bulus Yohanna, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State, has called on Nigerians to pray fervently for the nation’s economic recovery.

In his congratulatory message to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir, Mr. Yohanna highlighted the urgent need for divine intervention in the face of rising commodity prices, particularly foodstuffs.

Yohanna stated, “This is why I am urging the Muslim faithful in Niger and Nigeria as a whole to use the Eid-el Kabir period for sober reflection and prayer for peace, unity, and economic recovery.

“I hereby appeal to Muslims to pray for the country’s challenges to be overcome.

“We should, as Nigerians, be encouraged and have hope in God for the transformation of the country,” he added.

He also commended the efforts of the Niger State government in addressing security and economic issues.

He stressed the need for continued tolerance, synergy, and cooperation among government agencies and citizens to tackle the nation’s challenges.

In addition, the CAN chairman called for improvements in healthcare, youth and women empowerment, investment in education, and addressing socio-economic challenges. He extended his wishes for a peaceful and joyous Eid-el Kabir celebration to the Muslim community.
