My Government is Sensitive to Nigerians’ Problems; I’m Working Tirelessly to Counter Crude Oil Theft — Tinubu

Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu has affirmed his administration’s sensitivity to the challenges faced by Nigerians and its commitment to addressing them.

Speaking through Kashim Shettima at the National Defence College (NDC) Course 32 graduation in Abuja, Tinubu highlighted the administration’s ongoing efforts to tackle critical issues.

Tinubu noted recent progress, including the signing of a new minimum wage bill that benefits both civilian workers and security personnel.

“As a government, we are sensitive to our people’s challenges and will continue to actively intervene in matters that can affect our citizens,” said Tinubu. “Recently, we have made significant strides in addressing some of these challenges.”

He emphasised the government’s tireless efforts to combat crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta, aiming to boost oil production and enhance economic performance.

He added, “We are also working tirelessly to counter the menace of crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta.

Tinubu said this will increase Nigeria’s oil production and achieve our desired economic standards.

“We are committed to creating an enabling business environment that encourages value addition in our mining sector.

“We are working with international partners to develop a strategy that will harness this sector’s potential for national security,’’ he added.

Tinubu charged the participants of the National Defence College (NDC) Course 32 to be vigilant and proactive in addressing the myriad of regional and global threats.

“We must remain vigilant and proactive in addressing regional and global threats as we progress. We must also continue to promote democratic values and uphold democratic principles in our country and across the continent.

“As the current chair of ECOWAS, we will do all necessary to strengthen ties and resolve present negations within the community,’’ he noted.

The graduation ceremony saw 111 participants from the Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, and 19 other nations complete their course. Tinubu commended the college for its dedication to excellence and pledged support for its move to a new permanent site.
