Oluremi Tinubu, has affirmed that she and her husband, Bola Tinubu, is not driven by greed but is committed to making Nigeria great.
She made this statement during a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and other traditional rulers at the Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife.
According to her Tinubu is a contented leader focused on the country’s progress.
The visit marked the commissioning of the 2.7km Oluremi Tinubu Way and Pavilion at Obafemi Awolowo University, a project built in her honor by the monarch.
She urged Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration’s efforts to elevate the nation, noting that its reforms are already showing positive results.

She said, “We are just two years into our administration, we are not the cause of the current situation, we are trying to fix it and secure the future.
“We know that subsidy has been removed but with God on our side in the next two years Nigeria will be greater than this. Those who attempted removing subsidy before could not see it through. But with your prayers in the next two years, we will build a nation for the future.”
“We are aware that the subsidy has been removed, but with God’s help, in the next two years, Nigeria will be greater than it is today. With your prayers and support, we will build a nation ready for the future,” she added.
Reflecting on her and her husband’s journey, she added, “We give glory to God for our position. My husband and I are not greedy; we thank God for what He has done for us. We cannot disappoint Nigeria, and with God’s help, we will reach the promised land in no distant time.”
In his remarks, the Ooni of Ife praised her for being a role model to young people since her tenure as the First Lady of Lagos State.
The traditional ruler said, “I have been a keen admirer of Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a young man eking out a living in Lagos. One of my major attractions was the New Era Initiative especially as it concerns the One Day Governor in Lagos that is totally detribalised and provided opportunities to young secondary school boys and girls to become Governor in Lagos State. This has been a milestone and major inspiration for the younger ones to aspire and proper.”
