The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the successful elimination of several terrorists, including a notorious kingpin, in the Tsauni Doka area of Kaduna State.

The operation was carried out by the NAF component of Operation Whirl Punch, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the Nigerian Air Force spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.

He said the operation was based on credible intelligence that revealed the location of the terrorist leader, Boderi, and his followers at Tsauni Doka.

Gabkwet noted NAF jets launched precision strikes on the target in the early hours of November 16, resulting in the death of many terrorists and the destruction of their motorcycles.

He added that another strike was conducted at a nearby location, where Boderi’s brother, Nasiru, was suspected to be hiding. He said the strike was also successful and neutralised more terrorists.

“Boderi and his brother Nasiru, alongside their cohorts, have been blamed for several attacks and abductions along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, as well as in several communities in Niger and Kaduna States,” he said.

He stressed the NAF would continue to work with other security agencies to ensure the security of lives and property in the affected areas.
