Nigerian singer Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, is demanding a public apology from Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, alleging defamation and libel.
The singer, through his legal representative Olalekan Ojo, has issued a letter dated December 12 to Ojo, accusing her of spreading false, malicious, and libelous content on her Instagram account about him. Naira Marley has threatened legal action seeking N500 million in damages if Ojo fails to apologize.
Following the news of Mohbad’s passing, public attention has shifted to Naira and his associate Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. Iyabo Ojo has been actively advocating for justice for the late singer.

Mohbad, a former signee of Marley’s record label, passed away under mysterious circumstances at the age of 27 on September 12. Before his demise, Mohbad expressed concerns, holding Naira Marley responsible for any harm that might befall him.
Amidst controversies involving bullying, alleged assault, and threats from Marley and Sam Larry, both were arrested and granted conditional bail. Iyabo Ojo has consistently accused Naira Marley of bullying Mohbad, attributing the trauma to the late singer’s death.
In response, Naira Marley’s lawyer has called for an apology from Iyabo Ojo within seven days, citing her online posts. Failure to comply would result in legal proceedings, seeking damages of N500 million and a court injunction preventing Ojo from repeating similar libel.
