National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) President, Comrade Atiku Isah, has accused a splinter faction, allegedly backed by Seyi Tinubu, of abducting, stripping, and torturing him before he was held for two months by the DSS.
In a video shared online, Atiku publicly identified three individuals he said attacked him: Friday Jeremiah, aka “Apple Water” from Benue; Babatunde Akinteye, known as “Babti/Babtee”; and Adeyeye Olugbenga, called “Pilot.”

He claims Jeremiah led the initial assault on April 15, while Olugbenga—a self-declared cultist—stabbed him at The Wells Carlton Hotel in Abuja and left him for further ill-treatment.
Atiku says another man known only as ‘Decimal Obi’ stripped him naked, filmed him, and physically abused him. “On April 15, they attacked me and stripped me naked. The people who did that were Friday Jeremiah and Adeyeye Olugbenga—they were the ones who gave the instructions for that attack. But the person who carried it out was Decimal Obi. He was the one who stripped me naked and took a video of my nakedness while slapping me and hitting me.”
Despite filing a petition to the DSS Director-General calling for protection, Atiku says the agency took no action. Instead, he was detained based on a complaint from the same individuals he accused.

He said: “You know, these guys… When they did those things, they claimed that Seyi Tinubu (son of President Bola Tinubu) is supporting them, and as such, nothing will happen. So I am beginning to see that they actually spoke the truth because they did it, and nothing happened.”
Atiku added: “I wrote a petition to the DG DSS, and he never acted on it, but when these guys attacked me, he claimed that these guys wrote a petition and that is why they arrested me… So we live in a banana republic where we have irresponsible people in the security circle.”
The ordeal allegedly escalated on April 29, when “Pilot” stabbed Atiku in the hand at the same Abuja hotel, in the presence of the former governor of Kano State.

Atiku’s accusations come amid growing concerns about partiality in security agencies and political interference in student affairs. On May 7, SaharaReporters reported threats from Babatunde Akinteye—self-proclaimed leader of a rival NANS faction—with explicit warnings against activist Omoyele Sowore.
Also, on May 20, Yusuff Decimal boasted about assaulting Atiku during a video exchange with activist VeryDarkMan, describing the violence as justifiable: “NANS go beat you…Nah them beat am…Why you Dey mention Seyi Tinubu?”
