Antonio Conte, the former head coach of Tottenham, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Chelsea, has been formally contacted by Napoli to take over the Naples based team. According to reports, Aurelio De Laurentiis, the club’s owner, has begun negotiations with Conte to replace Rudi Garcia.
On June 15, 2023, the start of the current season, Garcia became the manager of Napoli. Luciano Spalletti, who departed Naples to lead the Italy national team, was succeeded by him. However, Napoli is already considering alternatives after a dismal start to the season under Garcia.
In March 2023, Conte left Tottenham by “mutual consent”. He formerly served as the manager of a number of Italian league teams and oversaw the national team of Italy for two years, from 2014 to 2016. Conte has won four Serie A championships during his tenure as a manager, one Premier League championship, and one Serie B championship earlier in his career (2008–09).
Napoli believes Conte is the best candidate for their present endeavour because of his vast Serie A expertise. Over the past ten years, he has led Juventus and Inter Milan, two of the finest teams, to Scudetto victories.
The ultimate choice has not yet been decided. However, as Napoli looks to boost their performance in the 2023–24 season, this action may signal a substantial change in their game plan.
