The National Workshop for Judges and Justices was conducted on Monday by the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) in conjunction with the National Judicial Institute.
Olukayode Ariwoola, the Chief Judge of the Federation, charged judges and justices to get acquainted with current telecom matters in order to ensure fair adjudication.
The Chief Judge stated during the 2023 National Workshop for Judges and Justices on Telecom Issues that the occasion would serve as a forum for discussion of issues affecting the communications sector.
In his remarks, Prof. Umar Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, said that the workshop, with the theme “The Adjudication Path in a Digital Era,” will be crucial in developing the skills of judges and justices.
He further stated that the NCC is putting in great effort to review the Nigerian Telecommunications Act.
The annual training, which has been offered for almost ten years, is said to be designed to keep the judiciary’s members current on telecom-related matters.
