NEMA Distributes Relief Materials To Flood Victims in Anambra

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has commenced distribution of relief materials to households affected by the recent flood in Anambra.

The South East Zonal Coordinator, Mr Thickman Tanimu, flagged off the distribution.

The relief materials are intended to alleviate the suffering of the flood victims and provide them with some respite during this challenging period.

The Local Government Areas affected by this year’s flood include Ogbaru, Anambra West, Anambra East, Ayamelum, Awka North, and Ihiala.

These areas have been severely impacted by the flood, leading to displacement of residents and destruction of properties.

While the exact number of households that received the relief materials is not specified, it is clear that NEMA is making significant efforts to reach as many affected individuals as possible.

The state government and NEMA continue to monitor the situation closely and are working together to provide necessary support to the affected communities.
