In a disturbing incident in the Tayi area of Minna, the capital of Niger state, a Newborn baby boy was discovered abandoned on Saturday evening.
According to a reliable source, the infant was found a few hours after being deserted, wrapped in leather with no clothes. Tragically, ants had already begun crawling on the defenseless child before intervention.
He stated, “Ants had started crawling on him before he was found. This is the most tragic scene I have ever seen in my life. A capital punishment should be introduced against people that do this.”

The source stated that the umbilical cord was still attached to the baby and was given bathe few hours when he was found.
It was revealed that the blood on the newborn’s body had been washed off before being callously discarded. #Newborn
