The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has executed the notorious terrorist and kidnapping ringleader, Yellow Jambros, along with a significant number of his accomplices.

The strike took place in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, thwarting the advancement of the terrorist group as they attempted to cross the Jikudna River.

Yellow Jambros gained infamy for orchestrating numerous kidnappings and killings across multiple states, including Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, and Zamfara.

The Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch carried out the operation, neutralizing the terrorists, destroying their motorcycles, and sinking their boats.

Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, confirmed the success of the critical operation.

He emphasized that Yellow Jambros and his group had underestimated the authorities’ capabilities, wrongly assuming a suspension in airstrikes.

According to Gabkwet, ”Yellow Jambros and his cohort have been responsible for several kidnappings and killings along the Abuja-Kaduna Road and in several communities in Kaduna, Niger, Katsina and Zamfara States.

”In October 2020, a kidnapped kingpin known as Mohammed Sani, arrested by the Police in Zamfara State for murdering over 50 of his victims due to their inability to mobilize ransom, claimed that he worked for Yellow Jambros, who usually supply him with fake military and police uniforms, guns and other weapons needed to execute his operation,” the statement emphasized.

The strike marks a monumental victory in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the north-central region.
