Niger has banned the export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as announced in a government statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the nation intends to prioritize the utilization of its LPG production to meet domestic demand.

However, in situations where an excess of LPG is available, interested parties may apply for special authorization to engage in exports.
Traditionally, Niger has been exporting its surplus LPG to its neighboring country, Nigeria.
