We’re Committed To Strengthening Partnership Pact With Nigeria — EU

European Union (EU) has pledged to strengthen its partnership pact with Nigeria.

This was disclosed on Friday during a courtesy visit from a delegation of Ambassadors/Heads of Mission of Member States of the European Union led by Ambassador Samuela Isopi.

The delegation was received by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar (OON).

The discussions centered on strengthening the Nigeria-EU partnership. The two sides discussed a wide range of issues, including trade, investment, security, and climate change.

Ambassador Tuggar said that Nigeria values its partnership with the EU and is committed to working together to address common challenges.

He also said that Nigeria is committed to implementing the Africa-European Union Global Gateway, which is a new initiative aimed at boosting investment and cooperation between Africa and the EU.

Ambassador Isopi said that the European Union is also committed to strengthening its partnership with Nigeria. She said that the European Union is looking to invest in Nigeria’s infrastructure and energy sectors and to help Nigeria develop its digital economy.

The two sides also discussed the security situation in Nigeria and the Sahel region.

Ambassador Tuggar said that Nigeria is making progress in the fight against Boko Haram, but that more needs to be done to address the underlying causes of insecurity in the region.

Ambassador Isopi said that the European Union is committed to supporting Nigeria’s efforts to improve security in the region.

She said that the European Union is providing military training and equipment to Nigeria, and is also working to address the root causes of insecurity, such as poverty and inequality.

The meeting between Ambassador Tuggar and Ambassador Isopi was a positive step forward in strengthening the Nigeria- European Union partnership.
