The House of Representatives Committee on National Security and Intelligence had asked the federal government to immediately purchase new aeroplanes for Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.
The Committee made the call in a report issued after its technical subcommittee conducted a hearing on the status and airworthiness of aircraft in the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF).
According to the report presented by the PAF, it explained that there is a dire need to purchase a private jet for the duo in order to prevent any unforeseen mishap or technical issues that may occur.
Reacting to this Oseni Rufai stated on his X handle that ” The Nigerian president should fly Airpeace, or other local airlines. We don’t have money to buy new jets,”.
