Nigeria Fashion Industry Can Stand Out On Global Scale — Fashion Promoter

The chief executive officer of Bredence and Crusader Nigeria Limited, Bredence Nsikak, said that Nigeria has what it takes to lead in the fashion industry.

Mr.Nsikak, who is a Nigerian fashion and beauty pageant promoter said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Lagos State.

In the interview,  he described Nigeria as a nation that has the resources to stand out in the fashion industry because the nation produces some of the most successful pageants and fashion shows worldwide.

” The fashion industry, together with its beautiful fashion shows and products have a profound and alluring appeal to a vast number of people worldwide.

“Some trailblazers like Duro Olowu; Lisa Folawiyo; Ohimai Atafo; Deola Sagoe and many others have shown that we can take on and beat the world’s best in the fashion sphere,” he said.

He, however, added that for fashion sector to lead globally,  more commitment and creativity by key players in the fashion industry needs to be prioritized. He further appealed to the government to provide loans to committed young fashion designers in the industry because some of their creativity would put the country on the world map.
