Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has called on Nigerians to seek divine intervention to address the nation’s current challenges.
Mr. Olukoya made this appeal while addressing journalists at the conclusion of the church’s 35th anniversary celebration and thanksgiving on Sunday, which took place from August 16 to 18.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s needs could only be met through divine intervention and urged citizens to persist in their prayers for the country.
“What we need really is divine intervention. We need to pray for divine intervention.
“That songwriter says the arm of flesh will fail you, brains of men may fail, our hard work may fail but with God, all things are possible.
“Let us understand that no matter the resources you have, the Bible says except the Lord builds a house, they labour in vain.
“So, what we need in Nigeria is divine intervention. The Lord should lay His hands upon the whole nation and our leaders so that they will take the right decisions and help the people of Nigerians,” he said.
Mr. Olukoya expressed confidence in Nigeria’s bright future, affirming that God has plans for the country.
“I am a staunch believer in one Nigeria,” he stated.
Regarding the anniversary, Mr. Olukoya outlined the church’s next goal: to spread God’s gospel globally.
He added that Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries would persist in sharing the message of deliverance and prayer around the world.
“It is interesting that a lot of people are not interested in prayers.
“They have seen that the powerless powers have not helped anybody rather they waste money and life but with the power of prayers, nothing is impossible,” he said.
Mr Olukoya said that there had been a lot of testimonies in the church in the past 35 years.
“We are here to celebrate our 35th anniversary thanksgiving, to thank God for what He has been doing in our lives because it has been 35 years of God silencing the silencer.
“It has been 35 years of awesome testimonies, terminating the malpractices of the enemy, uncommon answers to prayers, mysterious divine visitation, among others.
“So, let us appreciate the Almighty God because there are many here, if not for the God of MFM, they would not be alive today,” he said.
The highlight of the thanksgiving service was the presentation of awards to several pastors and 492 first-class graduate youths who are members of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM).
These awards recognized MFM members who achieved first-class honors from universities worldwide.
Mr. Olukoya explained that the initiative aimed to motivate the youth, who are the leaders of tomorrow. He encouraged them to view this recognition as a challenge to strive for excellence.
Governors from Lagos, Ogun, and Delta states attended the thanksgiving service.
