The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, has tackled Bola Tinubu for plunging Nigeria into one of the hungriest nations in the world.
Obi made this statement in a post he shared on his official X handle on Monday.
According to him, he revealed that while Tinubu was campaigning during the 2023 election, he (Tinubu) announced that his aim of coming to power is to put food on the tables of Nigerians.
However, contrary to his pronouncement, two years down the line and the Tinubu-led government has plunged Nigeria into one of the hungriest nation.
Obi revealed that millions of nigerians are so much hungry that they are uncertain where their next meal will come from.
Obi’s words,”In November 2022, while campaigning in Delta State, the then APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, now the President, berated the other Presidential Candidate (Peter Obi), he was ashamed to call his name, saying “Na statistics we go chop all I want is to put food on the table of Nigerians”.
“Now 2 years into his 4-year tenure, Nigeria is classified as one of the hungriest nations in the world with millions of Nigerians not knowing where their next meal will come from.”
