The Pakistan Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has apprehended a Nigerian man at Lahore International Airport on charges of cocaine smuggling.
According to a report by Pakistan’s Express Tribune on Thursday, the suspect arrived from Nigeria via Dubai and was found to have ingested 38 capsules filled with cocaine.
An ANF spokesperson confirmed that the capsules contained a total of 608 grams of cocaine. In 2023, Pakistani authorities detained 10 Nigerians in similar cases, seizing a combined total of 4.811 kilograms of drugs.

This year, the ANF has carried out seven operations, leading to the arrest of eight Nigerians and the confiscation of 11.420 kilograms of narcotics.
The suspect is set to be prosecuted under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with further investigations currently underway.
