Nigerian Police Extort N500,000 from Lady Accused of Smoking, Using Abortion Pills

A distressing incident unfolded in Mile 2, Lagos State, as Nigerian police officers allegedly extorted 500,000 Naira from a young lady accused of smoking and using abortion pills.

Recounting her experience in a Video, she emphasized her innocence, asserting that she hadn’t used the bag in question for quite some time.

“I was in a cab when they stopped us. They searched me and found a post pill paper in my bag. They said I was into prostitution, and I told them that I was not. that I haven’t used the bag in a while,” she said.

According to her account, the situation escalated quickly as the Police officers threatened to involve her parents and forced her onto a bus at gunpoint.

Inside the bus, she was accused of smoking and using abortion pills, allegations she vehemently denies.

“They threatened to call my parents. I got nervous. They ordered me to enter their bus, and they had guns. They accused me of smoking and using abortion pills, and they said they were going to take me to the station if I don’t settle them. they ended up taking the 500,000 I had with me, this happened around mile 2 Lagos,” She said.
