Nigerian Police Oppress Even Their Own for Highest Bidder—Aisha Yesufu

Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has condemned the Nigerian police for stooping so low as to oppress their own members for the highest bidder.

Yesufu’s outburst comes following the viral video of billionaire Okoya’s sons, Wahab and Subomi who were seen spraying naira notes from bundles of cash held by their police escort on Friday.

The police escort was however arrested while Okoya’s son were left to go scort free.

Justifying such partial action, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated that,”the involvement of the policeman has been condemned as it’s unethical. We will always strive hard to uphold the sanctity, credibility, and core values of the police.”

Reacting to the action of the Police PRO, Yesufu in a post shared on his official X handle, she stated that the Nigerian police should not be allowed to get away with their action.

She further requested for anyone with information about the arrested police officer.

Her post reads,”Anyone with information on who the policeman is? Injustice to one is injustice to all.

“The Nigerian Police@PoliceNG should not be allowed to get away with this. The Nigerian Police oppresses even its own for the highest bidder.”
