JUST IN: Nigerian Woman Sets Guinness World Record with 55-Hour Interview Marathon

Record

Nigerian social media entrepreneur Clara Chizoba Kronborg has shattered the Guinness World Record for the longest interviewing marathon, clocking an impressive 55 hours and 24 seconds.

The previous record, set by Rob Oliver (USA) in 2022, stood at 37 hours and 44 minutes.

Clara, known for her YouTube talk show, engaged with 90 individuals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, ranging from politicians and business moguls to content creators, actors, and real estate agents.

Each conversation revolved around the journey to success of the respective guests, providing insights into their achievements and experiences.

Growing up in modest circumstances in Onitsha, Nigeria, Clara’s upbringing sparked her fascination with the dynamics of success.

She said: “This record attempt was about bringing together diverse individuals, sharing their inspiring narratives, and forging meaningful connections on a global scale.

“I am committed to amplifying voices, particularly those of hardworking women, and using their stories to inspire others facing similar challenges.”

Clara embarked on her record-breaking endeavor aboard a moored yacht in the picturesque city of Marbella, Spain, her current place of residence.

Despite the typically sunny harbor being drenched by a heavy rainstorm, Clara encountered numerous challenges throughout her feat.

She described her voice becoming “hoarse and rusty,” but managed to preserve it by staying hydrated with copious amounts of water.

Following the protocol of ‘longest marathon’ record attempts, Clara was allotted five minutes of rest after each hour of interviewing. During these breaks, she could nap, change attire, or attend to personal needs.

To manage the substantial intake of water, Clara opted to wear adult diapers throughout the duration of her record attempt.

“Even worse, my period started the same day, and I was already having intense menstrual cramps,” she revealed.

“At some point I was literally dripping pee and period stain, but I persevered and kept my eyes on the goal. To anyone who ever reads this, once you find your purpose, go after it with everything you’ve got.”

Clara also endured discomfort in her neck and back, alleviated by her team with massages during her breaks. Despite battling bouts of sleepiness, she found renewed vigor with each new guest, describing it as a “battery recharge” fueled by her curiosity to hear their narratives.

For Clara, persevering through these challenges has been rewarding, as she now holds the esteemed world record. Reflecting on the physical, mental, financial, and emotional trials she endured, she expressed disbelief at her achievement.

“It feels surreal,” Clara remarked. “I am immensely proud of this milestone, knowing that it has impacted and transformed lives. This accomplishment is dedicated to all who dare to dream and persist, irrespective of the obstacles they encounter.”
