The presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has stated that it is now clear that Nigerians will express their frustration with the current administration during the 2027 elections.
Kwankwaso, who is a former governor of Kano State, made this remark while welcoming some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who had defected to the NNPP. He said that Nigerians will push for change in 2027.
The new members who switched parties come from the Dala, Kiru, and Gwale local government areas, and they were received at Kwankwaso’s residence on Miller Road, Kano.
According to the former governor, Nigerians, especially those from the northern region, have suffered too much under the Tinubu-led administration to allow it to continue.
His words, “Nigerians, more specifically northerners, have suffered enough and no amount of pressure or intimidation will change their minds.
He further called on Nigerians to rethink the policies and activities of the current dispensation and make their decisions ahead of the next election.
He added, “It has now become clear that the APC-led government is clearly against the poor masses and will never change.
“It is now clear that regardless of their beliefs and plans to use the security agents and INEC in the forthcoming elections, it will not be possible as Nigerians are tired and will surely struggle for change,” Kwankwaso said.
