Praying For 100 or 1000 Days Won’t Solve Nigeria’s Problems; They Aren’t Spiritual —Inibehe Effiong

Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong has stated that embarking on 100 or 1000 days of prayer will not solve Nigeria’s problem.

In a post shared on his official X handle, he noted that prayers won’t make Nigeria better since because according to him, Nigeria’s problem is not spiritual.

Effiong’s statement comes following the announcement by the pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye of the church embarking on 100 days fasting for Nigeria.

He further charged Pastor Adeboye to devote his time to and platform to call out corrupt and selfish politicians.

His post reads,”Pastor Adeboye and others have been praying for Nigeria since my childhood, Nigeria is not getting better.Praying for 100 or 1000 days nonstop will not make this country better. The problems are not spiritual.

“If Pastor Adeboye can dedicate his time and platform to call out corrupt and selfish politicians, maybe things can improve.

“A significant portion of those ruining our country today are followers of Adeboye. Some of them are “pastors” in RCCG. God is not an author of confusion.’
