Nigerians May End Up Buying Petrol for N5,000 per Litre Under Tinubu; Subsidy Was Never Restored — NLC

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has warned that Nigerians may end up buying petrol for as much as N5,000 per litre under the administration of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The NLC’s spokesman, Benson Upah, issued the warning during an interview with Weekend Trust, following the recent hike in fuel pump prices.

Upah revealed that the increase contradicts the agreement reached between the NLC and the Federal Government, adding that the claimed restoration of fuel subsidy never occurred.

“I want to tell you something, what this signals is that Nigerians have not seen the end yet, we may end up paying nothing less than N5,000 per liter for fuel in this country. We hope not to get there but if we get there, the decision will be left to Nigerians,” he added.
