No NIN, No Registration—NYSC Tells Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the National Identity Number (NIN) is a mandatory requirement for the 2024 Batch B service year registration, stressing that without it, Prospective Corp Members ( PCMs) cannot register.

This was disclosed on the scheme’s official social media handle on Saturday.

“This is to inform all prospective corps members that National Identification Number (NIN) is a compulsory requirement for them to register for NYSC mobilisation into national service,” the NYSC management said.

Meanwhile, some PCMs have encountered issues linking their NIN to the registration platform.

In response, the NYSC assured them that it is working with the National Identification Management Commission to resolve the technical issues.

According to them, “The NYSC is aware of issues affecting the National Identification Number (NIN) linkage in the ongoing online registration for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Service Year.

“We advice that they should be patient as such issues will be resolved soon”.
