The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Yusha’u Ahmed, has emphasised the non-availability of relocation options for Corps members, urging them to be prepared to serve anywhere they are posted within Nigeria.
Brigadier-General Ahmed cautioned against seeking redeployment and encouraged Corps members to settle down, stressing their role in contributing to the growth and development of their assigned states.
He underscored the importance of respecting the culture and traditions of the host community, urging Corps members to embrace peaceful coexistence and resilience in their service.
Expressing confidence that many Corps members would voluntarily choose to remain in their assigned states after completing their service, Brigadier-General Ahmed stated that this directive aligns with NYSC’s commitment to instilling a sense of national unity and integration among Corps members, fostering cultural exchange, and contributing to the overall development of the country.

He stated, “I urge you to respect the culture & traditions of your host community.”
“Remain peaceful and resilient as you add value to the community you’re posted to. I’m sure many of you will choose to remain here after your service,” he added.
