According to him, corrupt politicians see public office as opportunity to steal resources from poor Nigerians.

He made this startling revelation during Parallel Facts Space on Sunday.

Obi shared insights into the hurdles he faced while saving $150 million for Anambra during his tenure as governor.

The LP presidential candidate lamented on the prevailing mentality among politicians, characterising every situation as an opportunity to misappropriate resources.

Drawing from his own experience, he underscored the challenges encountered in combating corruption and securing funds for the development of Anambra.

“Nigeria is a criminalised entity, instead of you to be celebrated for saving, they will criticize you for doing well.

“There is a gang up of criminals, all they want to do is stop this one person doing well.

“I am the only Governor to save over 150 million dollars,” he emphasised.
