North Korea Expands List of Crimes Punishable by Death to Include Anti-State Propaganda

North Korea has expanded its list of crimes punishable by death, increasing the number of offenses from 11 to 16 following revisions to its criminal law.

According to reports from Fox News, citing Yonhap News Agency, the regime of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has introduced new offenses warranting execution, including anti-state propaganda, agitation acts, illegal manufacturing, and illicit use of weapons.

Additionally, “reactionary” behaviors such as wearing outside fashion, including white wedding dresses, blue jeans, or sunglasses, have been added to the list of punishable crimes.

The use of South Korean slang in written communications is also reportedly banned.
